Minato Sahashi, an intelligent but insecure young man, who accidentally becomes the "Ashikabi" for a super-powered girl named Musubi after she falls from the sky. This event pulls him into a deadly competition known as the "Sekirei Plan," where other "Sekirei" fight for the survival of their partners and themselves. To win, the Sekirei must defeat each other in battles, and Minato must navigate this world, form bonds with more Sekirei, and find the strength to protect them all.
